1963 Sonor "K170" Chicago in Red Sparkle - 14x20, 8x13, 14.5x16

A really cool kit and great example of the classic Sonor Teardrop era. Standard sizes for Sonor at this time, and in timeless Red Sparkle! No extra holes, original hardware, and even original tom batter heads!

14 x 20 - Original and complete! Features all the bells and whistles - 12x teardrop lugs, 12x T-rods & claws, original hoops with inlays, muffler, 2x telescopic spurs, ride cymbal mount, and two tom mounts (no arm included). Finish and chrome are both quite clean for their age - no heavy scratches, fading, or pitting. There is a bit a of a ‘flat spot on the btop of the bass drum shell from pressure of the tom mount. No cracks or signs of any water damage, and the drum sounds great, so it doesn’t pose an issue, just worth mentioning.

8 x 13 - Clean and original! Features 12x lugs, 12x slotted tension rods, 2x Sonor hoops, muffler and tom mount. Finish and chrome are both pretty clean - free of any heavy fading, scratching, or corrosion. Shell is relatively round, but displays subtle signs of bowing from tension around the lugs which is common for these thinner Beech shells.

14.5 x 16 - Good overall. Features 16x lugs, 16x slotted tension rods, 2x Sonor hoops, muffler, and 3x leg mounts w/ legs. Chrome is clean, but the wrap shows a few small issues. The shell is clean, but the wrap has a few small cracks in it. The seam is lifting and there is some cracking at the end. There is some cracking near a leg mount and one spot on a panel that has some cracks. None of the cracks are falling apart or spreading.
