1972 Sonor "Teardrop" in Rosewood - 14x22, 8x12, 8.5x13, 16x16

If you’ve been searching for one of these rare beauties, then cry no more! This 1972 Sonor Teardrop in Rosewood sounds just as good as it looks!

14x22 - Very clean drum overall! 6-ply beech shell. Rosewood veneer is in very good shape. 16x original lugs, claws and tension rods are all fairly clean, showing just some very light pitting in spots. Steel hoops appear to be original. Center tom mounting bracket is incomplete and batter-side dampener is missing.

16x16 - In good condition overall, though the hardware on this drum would benefit the most from a quick cleaning. 6-ply beech shell. Original lugs and hoops show some haze from light pitting and general dirtiness but would polish up nicely if desired. Floor tom brackets and legs are original, but the rubber feet look to have been replaced on the legs. The rosewood veneer has just a few small blemishes on the badge panel and the dampener panel (see photos). 16x original slotted tension rods and washers. Dampener is present and functioning.

8.5x13 - 6-ply beech shell. Original hoops and 12x original lugs are just a little dirty, and some lugs show some light scratches. Mounting bracket shows some spider-webbing in the chrome. Rosewood veneer is in very nice shape. 12x original slotted tension rods and washers. Dampener is present and functioning.

8x12 - 6-ply beech shell. Original hoops and 12x original lugs could also benefit from a quick cleaning, showing similar pitting and haziness to the floor tom. Rosewood veneer is in good condition overall, showing just a few light scratches here and there. 12x original slotted tension rods. Original washers appear to have been replaced with nylon washers. Dampener is present and functioning.
