1980s Yamaha Recording Custom in Cherry Wood - 10x10, 10x12, 12x14, 13x15, 16x22

One of the world’s most loved & reliable recording kits on the market! These have been on more sessions than one can count. The 1980s recording custom was & is a studio & live professional drummers top choice for many. Tonally, these are unstoppable. Lots of range & a reliability you can count on.

There is one non-original wood hoop on the reso side of the bass drum. Additionally, some of the Yamaha mounts were taken off (original holes still present) and put on rim’s mounts connected below to batter hoops of the 14” & 15” toms. The 10” tom had it’s removed and drilled in with two extra holes with an extension plate slightly above the original holes.

There’s a few blemishes and scratches but overall, the kit is in great used and loved shape. Tunes up and down great. Hardware functions as it should. This kit comes with the Yamaha center post & additionally the Yamaha stand for the 14” & 15” toms. A real banger of a kit!
