60s Rogers 'Holiday' in Sky Blue Ripple Pearl - 14x22, 9x13, 16x16

Here we have a great players kit from the early 60’s with a rare wrap to boot! This Cleveland era kit has its bumps and bruises but more than makes up for it in both sight and sound.

14x22 - The bass drum has taken the brunt of the wear and tear, but let’s start with the good: 20x original large beavertail lugs are dirty, but not damaged or corroded. Gray interior with paper tag present. Original swiv-o-matic tom mount, and knobby cymbal holders (though left side knobby holder is incomplete)and original spurs are present. Most of the wrap is undamaged and would clean up nicely. The blue ripple is vibrant and looks great from a short distance.

Now for the not so good: Along the bottom edge of the shell on the reso-side, there is evidence of someone having made several ill-informed decisions with a drill (see photos). A similar superfluous hole can also be found close to the edge on the top reso-side below the script badge (see photo). There is a nickel-sized tear in the wrap (see photo) on the top batter-side just above a lug casing. The adjacent top batter-side lug has a similar tear, though not as large (see photo). Half of the lugs show evidence of someone having fiddled around with the mounting holes on the shell, as they either sit ever so slightly crooked, or the bottom mounting hole is visibly peeking out from under the bottom of the lug casing. There is a large split in the wrap on the bottom of the shell, though it appears it may have been glued down at some point (see photo). An extra swiv-o-matic mount was added to the top-center of the shell at some point. Someone welded washers to the original spurs seemingly in an attempt to install a permanent memory lock of sorts. Thus, the spurs do not telescope into the shell. Hoops are non original, but ready for the inlay of your choosing. 20x non-original butterfly claws and tension rods.

16x16 - 16x original bread and butter lugs are in pretty good shape. They show signs of light pitting and the chrome has dulled in places. Several lugs show small cracks (fairly common with b&b lugs) but are still intact. Hoops are in similar condition, but would polish up nicely. Original knobby floor tom leg brackets and legs are present. Tension rods appear to be original. Gray interior with paper tag present. Wrap is in pretty good shape, with just a few dings and light scratches. Seam is tight. Muffler is present and functional.

9x13 - 12x original small beavertail lugs show a decent amount of pitting. Hoops are similarly pitted and show some light corrosion. Swiv-o-matic mounting bracket is present. Tension rods appear to be original. Gray interior with paper tag present. The wrap is tight but there is some significant rash on a single panel (see photo), presumably from rubbing up against a snare drum. Muffler has been removed.
