1970’s Ludwig ‘Custom Order’ in Black Lacquer - 14x20, 8x12, 12x15

Here is a very unique kit, and for a few reasons! These sizes and finish are rare for this era. Sequential serial numbers on all the drums. 3 ply granitone interiors. A player’s kit with extra holes that sounds great!

14 x 20 - Clean and pretty much original. Features 16x large lugs, 16x T-rods & claws, 2x hoops with complete silver sparkle inlays, 2x telescopic spurs, and a diamond double tom mount. The original rail mount and cymbal mount were removed and the holes plugged. Black Lacquer finish is quite clean, with very little checking, just a couple of small chips around the mounts. Chrome is excellent, no rust and very little pitting.

8 x 12 - This drum has been refinished in Black Lacquer and is a good match to the other two. Badge serial number matches perfectly. Features all original hardware - 12x small Ludwig lugs, 12x tension rods, 2x triple flanged hoops, and classic tom mount. Chrome is all exceptionally clean.

12 x 15 - this is a true floor tom, not a converted marching drum. It has the round knob muffler in the right location for a floor tom. This drum was originally single headed, and bottom hardware was at one time added. Someone also lowered the leg mounts, leaving extra holes that have been filled. Features 16x small lugs, 16x tension rods, 2x triple flanged hoops, 3x leg mounts & legs, round knob muffler. Finish is good, but displays more checking than the other two drums.
