These Honest Abe Brass Drums are made from 260 Brass - which is 70% copper and 30% zinc - 2.4mm thick. This stuff is DENSE. These are some of the more “perfect” sounding drums under a microphone, and because of that , they can do many many things. These are Straight Walled Seamed Shells with Stainless Steel Locking Hardware. Get the classic Brass sound without the $1500+ price normally associated with it. These are not paper thin spun shells….. and these are not 1/4” thick cast shells. These are right up the middle, best of both worlds. You might be surprised what these drums can do :) These drums love microphones, have a very pleasing and rich overtone and would be a great main snare for any drummer.
