A very rare & special drum, that is around 100 years old now and still in original condition. On top of that, it is signed by none other than Louie Bellson! All of the hardware has the exquisite "Knobby Gold" plating. This drum could use a cleaning, but it is all there under the tarnish. The shell is a steam-bent single ply of Mahogany with maple reinforcement rings. 8x 4-point "Separate Tension" lugs, 16x correct slotted tension rods, 2x original 'Stickchopper" style hoops, 2pt strainer with arm extension, and correct butt, and new Puresound wires & Aquarian heads. Shell is in-round, no ply separation, edges are good. Seam is not glued down hard but not lifting either. Hoops are straight with no dings. Strainer works well. The wrap is discolored, but would brighten up with a good polish. There are some some small splits less than 1 cm throughout the finish, but it is by no means "falling apart". This drum has not been cleaned - you are seeing it in "as found" condition. As you can imagine it sounds incredible!

“I love this drum store! I just bought my second kit from Nelson's, and I couldn't be happier. The service and care these guys provide is like none other. This is THE place for vintage drums, fantastic service, and a great community. I've never felt more welcome and at home in a music store than I do here. Keep doing what you are doing!”
