This drum is indeed a 1960's Ludwig, with a 3 ply mahogany\/poplar\/maple shell with white painted interior. In was originally a duco finish, but someone wrapped it in 50's era Silver Glass Glitter (done pretty well too), and reused the original grommet. The edges have had the wrap hand filed back. Heads fit with no issues. 72848 serial number. There are no extra holes, but a couple parts are not original. Feature 6x downbeat double ended lugs, with a couple of unoriginal inserts, 12x mix-matched lugs, 2x triple flanged hoops (top is a Ludwig and a little warped around the ears, bottom is something else and was actually filed for snare gates by hand), WFL stamped butt plate, and P-33 piccolo strainer. Generic steel wires. Lugs exhibit some serious pitting, and the top hoop has some light tarnish\/corrosion.
