1970s Ludwig Vistalite Tivoli Pattern A 'Big Beat' in Blue/Blue/Blue - 14x22, 16x16, 9x13, 8x12, 5x14sn
Super rare single-color Pattern A Tivoli! This one does not come with a power generator, but most of the lights and plugs are there, with the exception of the floor tom.
** The white inlay hoop has been swapped out for a matching blue inlay hoop. Both hoops now are identical to one another.
14x22 - Serial No. 1599039 - Badge is a little scratched up but sits securely on the shell. Shell has no cracks or spiderwebbing! Seams all look good! There are some scratches and dings throughout but the only major scratching is a spot toward the top by one of the lugs closest to the plug and switch. 20x original lugs, claws and tension rods are in fairly good shape, with some expected light pitting, scratches and haze, but no major corrosion. Lug gaskets are all present. Center tom mount is a bit hazy but would clean up well if desired. Both light strands are present. Original curved spurs and brackets. Original hoops are in great shape, both now with blue inlay.
16x16 - Serial No. 1799354 - Badge is clean and sits tight on the shell. This shell is one of the cleaner ones, with just some surface scratches, some of which would likely polish out if desired. No cracks or spiderwebs! The lights and plug are missing from this drum. 16x original lugs are very clean, with minimal pitting here and there. Lug gaskets are all present. 16x original tension rods. Top hoop does not appear original, but is in decent shape, with just a little bit of surface rust and pitting. There is also a bit of adhesive from what looks like a rectangular sticker. Original bottom hoop isn't quite as clean, with a handful of black flecks where some rust ate through the chrome. 3x original floor tom legs and brackets. Internal dampener is present and functions.
9x13 - Serial No. 1799395 - Badge is clean but has been pulled up a bit in the bottom left corner. Shell is in nice shape, with just some light scratches. There is a little bit of crazing in a couple of spots but nothing structurally significant. There are two lugs with a bit of spiderwebbing coming from a single lug mount hole each. 12x original lugs are very clean, with minimal pitting. Lug gaskets are all present. Tension rods are a mix of original and replacement. Both light strands and plug are there. Original mounting bracket and internal dampener. Original hoops have a good amount of haze and a little bit of pitting and scratching.
8x12 - Serial No. 1799387 - Shell is in nice shape, with mostly some surface scratches, with a couple a bit deeper. There are two lug mount holes on the batter side with some spiderwebbing. Light strands and plug are present with two of the guide hooks missing. 12x original lugs are very clean with minimal pitting. Lug gaskets are all present. Tension rods are mix and match. Original hoops are fairly clean, with just some light haze in spots. Original tom mounting bracket and internal dampener.
5x14sn - Serial No. 1799367 - Serial number indicates this was born with the kit! Badge is clean and sits tightly on the shell. Shell has no cracks or spiderwebs but there is a little bit of crazing on a few panels. The exterior of the shell is clean with just a few light scratches. 10x original bowtie lugs are very clean, with some very miniaml pitting in spots. Lug gaskets are all present. One lug mounting screw is missing a washer and another mounting screw is Ludwig but not original to the drum. 10x original tension rods on the resonant side of the drum, 10x replacement rods on the batter side. Original hoops are in fair shape, with some haze and flecks of surface rust. Both light strands and plug are present. Original P-85 throw and butt plate. Internal dampener mounting plate and two screws are present, but the actual dampener and knob are missing.
