1972 Ludwig 'Super Classic' in Walnut Thermogloss - 14x22, 9x13, 16x16

The ever elusive 3 ply Maple/Poplar/Maple shells in original Walnut Thermogloss - stained inside and out! Legendary tone and quite the sight to behold. This is factory matched kit - with date stickers inside! No extra holes and most of the original hardware. Some small things to note as described below. Original front head on the bass drum! 

14x22 - This drum shows the most wear of the three. The top of the drum has a little color blushing and some hairline splits in the outer ply. The edges have been touched up a little bit as well, but not fully recut. Features 20x lugs, 18x T-rods (2x tension rods), 20x claws, 2x newer 1/2" spurs (beefy upgrade from the originals), and a diamond plate on top missing the bolt. Original matching hoops. Chrome shows some light pitting. Finish shows some fading as mentioned - bottom of the drum is darker and shows some more checking than the top. Some subtle pulling around a couple of lugs, but tunes and great and is in round. 

9x13 - Pretty clean all around - still has complete interior date tag - 32372. Features all original hardware - 12x lugs, 12x tension rods, 2x triple flanged hoops, and classic mount. Muffler missing. Finish is pretty clean except for a small spot around a lug where the clear gloss is gone. Original bearing edges with a couple nicks in the bottom bearing edge. Finish looks pretty clean ad consistent with some minimal checking. Chrome shows some light pitting on the lugs, otherwise quite clean. In round and tuning up great. 

16x16 - Clean all around. Remnant on the interior tag under a leg mount washer. Mostly original hardware - 16x lugs, 16x tension rods, 2x triple flanged hoops (one may not be original but is a super close match), 3x leg mounts with correct original legs. No muffler. Nice sharp original edges (small nick in top edge) and in round. Chrome is pretty clean with some minor pitting on some lugs. Finish is pretty and clean and consistent, with very light and minimal checking pattern starting to emerge.
