1976 Ludwig Vistalite Pattern D Bicentennial Red/White/Blue - 14x22, 16x16, 9x13, 8x12

Introduced as a limited release in 1976 to celebrate the 200th birthday of the USA, this Pattern D is incredibly rare, mostly original and in overall excellent condition!

14x22 -  Serial No. 1332045 - Shell is extremely clean with only some light, wispy scratches seen in the right light. The badge is just about the only real flaw on this drum, as it was obviously bent up at the corners at some point and a previous owner opted to insert two screws (one in each corner) to secure the badge to the shell. This unsurprisingly resulted in some spiderwebbing where the screws went in, but both have been hit with Weld-on acrylic solvent to ensure that they do not worsen. 20x original large classic lugs are very clean, with just some very light pitting to be found on some. All lug gaskets are present. 20x original claws and tension rods are also very clean, with a handful showing a little bit of expected wear to the chrome. Original batter-side hoop has some paint loss but is in good shape and blue sparkle inlay is fully intact. Original reso-side hoop has been repainted and red sparkle inlay is new. There were two very small holes in this hoop (likely from the same screw-happy owner trying to secure the inlay strip) that have been filled and painted over, and are only noticeable if you are looking for them. 

16x16 - Serial No. 1340245 - Shell is extremely clean, with only the same light wispy scratches in a few places. No cracks or spiderwebs. Badge has some scratches but sits securely to the shell. 16x original large classic lugs are clean, with just some scratches and very light pitting. Lug gaskets are all present. Tension rods appear to all be original. Original hoops are very clean with just some light scratches and a few flakes of chrome missing in the top flange of the bottom hoop. Original leg brackets and legs. Internal muffler present and in good working order. 

9x13 - Serial No. 1332404 - Shell is extremely clean with only a handful of very small scratches/blemishes. The seam on this one had started to separate at the top of the shell to about halfway down the seam, but it has been professionally secured with Weld-on acrylic solvent. The badge is a little dinged up in the lower left corner but sits securely on the shell. 12x original large classic lugs are clean, with some light scratches and light pitting. Lug gaskets are all present. All but 2 tension rods appear to be original. Original mounting bracket is in similarly good condition. Chrome on original hoops is clean but there is some scratching. Internal muffler present and in good working order. 

8x12 - Serial No. 1332401 - Shell is extremely clean with just a handful of very small surface scratches/blemishes to be found. No cracks or spiderwebs. Badge is a little scratched but secure to the shell. 12x original small classic lugs are very clean, with some light scratches and very light pitting on some. All lug gaskets are present. Original mounting bracket is in similarly nice condition. Original hoops are clean with some light scratches. All tension rods appear to be original. Internal muffler present and in good working order.
